Papertrigger, CEI House Rock Band, Goes Green

When you call Community Energy, you may have the chance to speak with a budding rock star. One of our friendly, helpful customer service representatives, Adam Fontarious Smith, is a killer bassist from the Philadelphia-based band Papertrigger.  Joining him in the wind energy business is his friend Brian Dwyer, the same 6’ 6” redhead you will find behind Papertrigger’s drum kit.  As one of our data entry specialists, you can rest easy knowing every residential enrollment card we receive gets entered into our database by the same capable hands that bang out ear-shattering drum solos by night. Recently, Community Energy decided to support the boys by donating RECs to offset the emissions associated with the band’s upcoming tour.

Although their band’s raucous music sounds more suited to the soundtrack of a bar brawl, at first glance you’d never pick these two out as anything other than dedicated corporate employees: while he’s usually shirtless and sweaty by the third song, Dwyer humors us here at the office by always donning at least a t-shirt.  Meanwhile, Smith is one of the snappiest dressers around, often in a full suit and tie, despite preferring sleeveless undershirts for his onstage attire.

Both Adam and Brian are avid promoters of renewable energy.  Papertrigger’s equipment van is plastered with wind energy stickers and they purchase Renewable Energy Certificates to offset their home’s electricity use.  To help them achieve their sustainability goals, CEI will donate Renewable Energy Certificates to offset the travel and electricity use of their upcoming tour to Canada.  In March, the band will be saddling up and driving almost 500 miles to Toronto, Ontario for six days at the prestigious Canadian Music Week festival.  This donation will help Papertrigger to conquer the music world the environmentally responsible way.

So the next time you call CEI, do yourself a favor and ask Adam where you can catch the next Papertrigger show.
